Berlin Letters is the festival for lettering, type design, calligraphy and all other letter shaping disciplines that I organize with three friends in Berlin. Three days of lectures, workshops and all the trimmings, where around 250 experts and beginners come together to exchange ideas.
Berlin Letters took place for the first time in 2019 and we were planning for an annual event. But because of Covid, war and other crisis, Berlin Letters is celebrating it’s comeback after five years this year: from July 5 to 7, 2024 at Silent Green in Berlin-Wedding.
Ulrike Rausch and I curate the program and I’m very much looking forward to gathering all the exciting people we’ve invited in one room and listening to their talks—especially because many of the speakers aren’t super well-known.
Unfortunately, I can’t take part in the 18 different workshops because Ulrike Rausch and I are hosting the talks. But you should definitely take a look at the program. By the way, you can also book the workshops independently of the festival.
Berlin Letters 2019 was the greatest project I have ever been involved in and I am convinced that this year will be something very special again—especially if you are there!
