I have specialized in lettering for ten years. But even though I work with text and draw letters every day, I hardly said anything in my work.
In my talk at the Beyond Tellerrand conference in Düsseldorf in May 2024, I talked about what kept me from speaking in my own words for a long time, how this was connected to my grandma’s reaction to my coming out and what finally made me speak out.
