»Freelancer’s Lives« is the name of the questionnaire that Katja Scholtz sends out to writers and other freelancers to ask them about their working habits. Perhaps the answers serve her as inspiration, as Katja recently began work as a freelance author and translator, after having worked as an editor for various publishers for many years.

At first I didn’t want to answer the questionnaire. I wasn’t keen on thinking about my work habits and they are no one’s business anyway. But the illustrious questionnaire society already includes such great authors as Charlotte Gneuss, Necati Öziri, Isabel Bogdan and Till Raether—and I wanted to become part of it. So I finally decided to answer the 15 questions.
