Early Flatware
The collection of the Hamburg Museum for Art and Crafts includes over 400,000 posters and other types of what is called »flatware,« and for the past few years, some of my early works have been part of it. They're no longer at risk of mold in my office basement, but are now being carefully handled in the museum.
Curator Julia Meer is systematically expanding the Graphic Design and Poster collection to include works by women and queer people, filling in significant gaps. A selection of the new acquisitions is on display until October under the title Flatware and Paper Cakes—paired with infographics about the composition of the collection.
