aaaaaaaa—that’s how the collection of alphabets begins

Blocky and even blockier—one alphabet idea often leads to the next

The basic shape remains the same, but the variation possibilities are endless.

Large and small letters alternate in the book.

Naturally, the book ends with a Z—and with a mirrored alphabet.

Alphabets: The skeleton of the letters always remains the same, but their appearance can vary a lot. Is an E still an E if it has five crossbars? Or six or seven? When does it turn into a comb? These are the kind of questions I explore with the Alphabets in this book.
